When most progress bars try to exaggerate the speed of progress, this is by far the most conservative. In case you were wondering, it does actually fill up full at 99 or 100%. Perhaps instead of a linear algorithm, it’s logarithmic? Go figure.

lol!
Not about this topic, but I’ve rebuilt my computer several times and redownloaded the zune software and music. Now, zune won’t let me redownload, use my license or buy the music again! It’s not letting me listen to (backup copy) my music or download my music that I bought and won’t let my buy it again :(. Any ideas?

pessimistic mood we’re in lately, Long.
First, Vista marketing as a “disgrace”, now Zune progress bar “fail”
what next, Live Mesh sync speed “humiliating”? oh wait…
you are a very serious person ^^)
The last couple percent is the hardest to get past.
I think the more serious matter here is that Long watches TRS.
@Chustar: Diggnation and TRS are my two most favorite video shows! Those guys at TRS are always spot-on with their movie/games reviews. Can’t go wrong with their advice.
@Bernard: I kind of agree with the titles, there is need of such harsh titles by credible people to keep Microsoft on their toes. Keep going Long. you have a long way to go 😀
I think there’s a lot more to worry about in Vista than how the icons look.
i dont get it,
are you saying its slow?
or what?
i have the zune and it works fast, and really well for me.
wtf are you saying about?
@bradey If I’m not mistaken, he’s saying the graphic doesn’t correctly reflect that 50% of the podcast has been downloaded.
Long, I must admit I had to re-read this a few times to understand what you were trying to say. In fact, the picture is the only thing that makes any sense.
The Pic itself is enough I guess 🙂
For some reason, it only starts filling up the graphic at 25% (so at 50% it’s 1/3 of the way to 100)…
Go figure.
